Jay Klawon, financial advisor at Keystone Financial, helps clients identify their financial goals and presents individualized options to assist them in reaching those goals. Jay began his financial services career in May 1988 and holds FINRA Series 7, 63, and 66 securities registrations through Commonwealth Financial Network®, as well as insurance licenses. He started Keystone Financial in May 2009. He is past president of Bismarck State College National Alumni Association and a four-year veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. Jay was a gubernatorial appointee to a four-year term on the Montana State Board of Investments and was appointed and served 10 years on the Montana Public Employees Retirement Board. He and his wife, Joyce, have lived in Hamilton for 22 years; they share their lives with Lucky Dog.
Jay enjoys working at Keystone Financial because, as an independent advisor, he can offer truly independent guidance and act with his clients' best interest in mind.
Joyce Klawon, as administrative assistant, brings client service and organization of KEYSTONE FINANCIAL to the table. Ambition, initiative, and a strong work ethic are all traits Joyce has gleaned from her North Dakota farm girl background and now puts to use at KEYSTONE. Joyce is responsible for attending to client inquiries, coordinating any and all paperwork, maintaining all client files, and most importantly, ensuring that every client or prospect feels respected and pampered.
Joyce spent 21 years teaching high school special education, 11 of those years at Hamilton High School. After designing and then helping construct her home, Joyce became an independent painting decorator and contractor for 8 years. Both teaching and painting allowed her to share her creativity and insight with the community. Decorating, whether it involves dinner parties, floral arrangements, or homes, is still a passion of Joyce's. Living in the beautiful Bitterroot Valley of Montana for 22 years has given Joyce her "outdoors fix" through hiking, biking, camping, skiing, and gardening.
Joyce was raised with the philosophy that "any job worth doing is worth doing well" and still lives this ideal for KEYSTONE FINANCIAL OF MONTANA.
